How to Add a Signature Image to a PDF

If you already have a picture of your signature, you can drop it straight onto a PDF instead of re-drawing it each time. This is handy for stamping the same signature on many documents.

Prepare your signature image

For the cleanest result:

• Sign a blank white sheet in dark ink and photograph or scan it.
• Crop tightly around the signature.
• If you can, save it as a transparent PNG so no white box appears behind it.

Add it to your PDF

1. Open the document in the PDF editor.
2. Choose the Image tool and select your signature file (PNG or JPG).
3. Click to place it, then drag to position and use the corner handle to resize while keeping its proportions.
4. Download the signed file.
